Sunday full day excursion :
The Carrara’ marble quarries and the medieval centre of Sarzana
At 10 : departure in minibus with authorized touristic guide who’ll introduce you the story of the marble quarries, the culture of the Apuane Alps rich also of flora and fauna. You’ll observe a quarry, the quarriers’hard work and the lorries’ impressive manages which transport so heavy stones and plaques through narrow and steep hairpins. At 13.00 about Lunch in typical restaurant in Colonnata where the famous local lard will be served. In the afternoon short visit to the beautiful historic centre of Sarzana, rich of interesting cultural aspects but adapted also for shopping. At 17.00 about way back bus.
